On Sunday, May 3rd, walkers, volunteers and staff attended two AIDS walk events in Ellsworth and Machias. According to Machias walk coordinator and DEAN Case Manager Liz Mercer, more than 50 people attended and walked in the Machias event. All of the donations are being tallied but so far, with matching funds provided by The Elton John Foundation through the national AIDS Fund, the event raised over $10,000.00 to help those affected by HIV/AIDS.
